COVID-19 Update - 18/03/20

Piper Amy J | 25 Mar, 2020 | 0 Comments | Return|

With the progression of COVID-19 as a global pandemic, we have a duty of care to minimise the spread of infectious diseases, and we need your cooperation to reduce this risk to ensure our stores and offices remain a safe place to visit and work at.  We thank you in advance for your support with these protocols.

We understand that there are a number of factors that may impact on your ability to keep your business operating as normal. We are doing everything we can to prepare, plan, protect and support you and your families over the coming weeks and months.

What actions are Ruralco taking to reduce risks of exposure from face to face interactions?

  • We are maintaining our high standard of hygiene practices throughout our stores, offices and in personal interactions.
  • We are practicing social distancing - please don't be offended if our staff stand a little further away while interacting with you as per the government advice.
  • Our teams intend to reduce face to face contact utilising technology to ensure we continue to communicate effectively and maintain our service levels.
  • We have signage around our stores and at our doors to help inform people of precautionary measures.
  • Our involvement with events will be reduced and we are following guidance from the government. Many of the field days and A&P Shows Ruralco was planning to attend have already been cancelled. In addition we will be reviewing upcoming events and monitoring these closely.

Taking care of our people:

  • The health and well-being of our people is of paramount importance to us and we are taking all necessary steps to support our team and their families in these uncertain times.

What can you do to help?

  • If you are feeling unwell please refrain from entering our stores, offices or attending face to face meetings with our team. We have outlined alternative contact methods below.

How Ruralco can help?

  • Call your Ruralco contact person or our customer service team on 0800 787 256 or email us on ruralco@ruralco.co.nz and we will do our best to support you.
  • Take advantage of our online store with free freight nationwide, we will deliver direct to you. We can arrange contact-less delivery, just note your requests in the comments field.

We are monitoring the situation daily and as government advice progresses, we will continue to communicate with you.
