Celebrating excellence in business is behind Ruralco’s long-running annual Supplier Awards, and this year’s winners are all outstanding in their fields according to Ruralco’s Merchant Acquiring team.

National Sales Manager, Lester Chambers says the awards have been running for over 10 years with the highly coveted Members’ Choice and the Supreme Supplier Awards both being hotly contested each year.

This year was no different, with the winners both being extremely honoured and proud to take home these prestigious awards.

First time winner, Spiderban Ltd received numerous positive accolades from customers to take out the Members’ Choice Award. Feedback included such comments as “great prompt service; friendly customer service and care; always a professional job and great communication.” Voting was open for the month of September with customers of Ruralco suppliers encouraged to vote for the business they felt consistently delivered the best service.

Mike Ward of Spiderban was overwhelmed by the response and to have received such a popular award. “Thank you to all our valued customers who continue to support us, and who voted for us. To meet your expectation of our service, is our success.” He says the win is especially important and significant for a small business.

The Supreme Supplier Award was awarded to FMG (Farmers Mutual Group) for the third time consecutively. FMG Head of Alliances and Industry Partnerships, Scott Kahle says “We're chuffed to have won the Supreme Supplier Award once again. We’re very proud to be acknowledged by Ruralco, which, like FMG, exists to support New Zealand agribusiness and rural communities.”

”We will once again be donating our prize to Farmstrong – an initiative that helps farmers, growers and their families better cope with the ups and downs of farming. We’re proud to support such a fantastic initiative that continuously helps people in rural communities look after the most important asset on farm – themselves.”

The awards also recognise excellence in a number of business categories. “All of the winners are fantastic suppliers and supporters of Ruralco and our members,” says Lester.

The award winners are:
